Series 3: Bright Smiles, Brighter Futures – Big Edge Designs (M) Sdn. Bhd. Organises Art & Environmental Community Event for Children with Autism

MALACCA, 8 November 2025 – Big Edge Designs (M) Sdn. Bhd. held a community care programme for children with autism at Wings Melaka, as part of its “Bright Smiles, Brighter Futures” CSR series. The event featured hands-on art activities and recycled-newspaper craft sessions to enhance creativity, sensory interaction and environmental awareness.

The programme received strong support from YB Low Chee Leong and Datuk Chee Kong Chi, who attended to encourage initiatives for children with special needs. St. John Ambulance Malaysia (Hotspot Ayer Keroh) also took part by conducting CPR awareness for parents and teachers, and organising a “Little First Aid Hero” activity for children with autism and ADHD.

YB Low Chee Leong 劉誌俍 announced a RM5,000 contribution to Wings Melaka Centre, expressing hope that similar programmes can be held annually or every six months. He will also raise the matter in the upcoming December meeting to explore further support.

Big Edge Designs (M) Sdn. Bhd. also extended appreciation to St. John Ambulance by donating RM5,000 to support their ongoing community health and emergency education efforts.

Executive Director Mr. Mike Yeo shared that the company is progressing towards ISO 9001:2015 certification to strengthen sustainability, compliance and responsible community engagement. He noted that the “Bright Smiles, Brighter Futures” series will continue expanding to create greater community impact.

“As a design and printing company, we hope to inspire creativity among children with autism and ADHD, help them learn new skills and understand environmental responsibility,” he said.

Big Edge Designs (M) Sdn. Bhd. reiterated its commitment to supporting youth development, creativity and sustainability-focused initiatives to build long-term community value.

The event also featured an eco-themed mini-game, where each child received a “Star Game Card” to encourage full participation in all sensory activities, game zones and medical demonstration areas, ensuring no child was left out and all could explore joyfully.
